Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement automated tests for various applications in a fast-paced environment
  • Build automated tests for API transactions
  • Collaborate with other SDET/Engineers in automation principles
  • Write and execute ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development)
  • Build automated tests for Native Mobile app
  • Manage test data for automation
  • Debug software and perform reviews of automation and application code
  • Engineer solutions that collect and report test results through various metrics reporting tools, example Sonar
  • Develop in-depth system and product knowledge
  • Constantly evaluate the test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement (i.e. test automation frameworks, dynamic data collection methodologies, coding standards, components and object repository methods, etc.)
  • Share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff, business sponsors, managers, and technical resources in clear concise language that is appropriate to the target audience
  • Partner with product owners and developers to identify areas for improved efficiencies
  • Research and implement tools that support delivery
  • Assist with DevOps support

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of testing automation experience across complex platform environments using tools like Selenium Web driver, TestNG
  • 3+ years of experience of a combination of java development or test experience
  • 3+ years of experience using BDD tools like Cucumber or Jbehave
  • 3+ years of experience with Cypress or any JavaScript based automation tool
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Cross browser automation using SauceLabs or similar

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
