Job summary
As a Senior Director of Software Engineering, you lead multiple technical areas, manage the activities of multiple departments, and collaborate across technical domains. Your expertise is applied cross-functionally to drive the adoption and implementation of technical methods within various teams and aid the firm in remaining at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and technological advances.
Job responsibilities

  • Leads multiple technology build a dynamic, agile team to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. In your role, you will help drive technology strategy and adoption and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives
  • Directly manages multiple areas with strategic transactional focus
  • Provides leadership and high-level direction to teams while frequently overseeing employee populations across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business
  • Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across competing objectives
  • Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations
  • Guiding software engineering teams that are responsible for design and delivery of high quality software for critical business features, and public cloud adoption
  • Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience developing or leading large or cross-functional teams of technologists, Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability
  • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale
  • Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience with IAM, RBAC, PKI and industry standards like SAML, oAuth, OIDC and SPIFFE: using Azure AD, Identity Center, Okta or PingFederate
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes with proficiency in application, data ,and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Proficiency in any of the following languages: Java, Go, Rust, Java script and practical in Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, and GCP)
  • Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Expertise in Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, and GCP)
  • Experience with IAM, RBAC , PKI and industry standards like SAML, oAuth, OIDC and SPIFFE: using Azure AD, Identity Center, Okta or PingFederate
  • Proficiency in any of the following languages: Java, Go, Rust, JavaScript
  • Experience in TDD and modern testing frameworks that support it
