Position Overview

As part of our Forge Developer Experience team, you will be developing and collaborating to standardize our SDK platform to help other developers, our customers, to make their life easier by creating SDK generation tools, producing bundled SDKs for multiple services across Autodesk. You will be identifying other teams' challenges and enabling them to build SDKs. You will be part of a team that provides support to thousands of developers across the globe, and you will be part of the evolution automating SDK generation with resiliency with multi-language support.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a hands-on team lead designing and ensuring any new code conforms to established coding standards, follows best security practices and meets design specification
  • Evaluate technical design documents and lead the implementation of best practices (Test-Driven-Development principles, Secure coding practices, CI/CD) to enable secure, scalable and maintainable software and facilitate design reviews
  • Apply technical expertise to resolve complex programming and design problems in a distributed environment
  • Describes application services such as API and their integration into the technical design
  • Coach the team on estimating and scheduling project tasks in diverse environments and various conditions
  • Teach others to resolve complex, multi-component failures and how to troubleshoot performance-related issues
  • Perform team's code reviews to ensure new code conforms to standards
  • Collaborate with architect and stakeholders to understand requirements, understand use cases and build towards a cohesive technical strategy
  • Propose how to minimize the amount of work for sufficient solution to be implemented and demonstrates product increments in sprint reviews
  • Self-starter, passionate about learning new technologies and solving business problems using these technologies
  • Embrace and promote agile methodologies, principles and values within the team



Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a software developer
  • Production experience in large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Deep experience with web development languages (preferable Node.js, C#/.NET, Python or Java)
  • Deep experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps, build automation and CI/CD pipelines (preferable Jenkins)
  • Experience with architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application
  • Experience shipping user interfaces for production-grade applications in an agile, product-oriented environment
  • Extensive experience debugging scalable, high performance web applications built with reusability and componentization in mind
  • Experience as tech lead, team lead or architect



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing SDKs
  • Extensive experience with cross browser compatibility and optimization techniques
  • Experience with Swagger API description language
  • Understanding of web security attacks and prevention
  • Experience with AWS service APIs (eg. EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Cloud Formation)
  • Autodesk products knowledge/experiences
