In this role you will lead a highly technical team on NAND product reliability methods and assessment while keeping the vertical integration of the NAND component into the end system solution in mind. The team is responsible for developing and implementing reliability methods to assess the product meets the qualification goals. You will mentor direct reports through collaboration and effective performance management systems. While in this role, you will also be responsible for supporting corporate business initiatives, providing direction thereof, and driving a clear understanding within your functional area.
New Product Qualification

  • Lead team of engineers driving methods for new product qualifications
  • Drive comprehensive data analysis of qualification stress data


  • Drive comprehensive understanding of qual fails and failure rates
  • Review qualification data and requirements, signing off on requirements have been met
  • Develop, communicate, and drive ratification of new qualification requirements and procedures


Develop Product Reliability Methodology and Specifications

  • Coordinate/collaborate with research and development teams
  • Coordinate/collaborate with NAND system engineering teams, ensuring data collection and analysis methods assess the NAND component failure rate at system level
  • Comprehend new NAND processes/technologies for product reliability issues
  • Develop product reliability tests to assess new NAND failure mechanisms
  • Drive necessary specification/qualification/reliability criteria changes on existing products based on customer feedback, internal learning, and industry standards


Provide Expertise and Consultation

  • Support Global Qualification Meetings
  • On-board new team members
  • Train, mentor, and develop team


  • Provide part qualification data for internal and external customers
  • Interface with Engineering groups on quality issues


Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field


  • 10 years of semiconductor industry experience
  • Proficiency statistical modeling tool like JMP
  • Familiarity with Python, Perl, HTML, or Java
  • Familiarity with Scrum methodologies and supporting software like JIRA
  • Familiarity with NAND, VLSI, Semiconductor Physics, or Semiconductor Manufacturing (Preferred)

Develops, implements, and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations. Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
