As a Sr. Lead Software Engineer within JPMC, Home Lending - Originations Correspondent Technology, you will work with business and technology leadership to understand the strategies and the impacts to on application(s) we support. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products.
You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world as we make strides into the public cloud domain.
Job Responsibilities

• Apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle
• Partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals
• Work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment-one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our customers globally
• Write valuable software and serve as a maker of systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Advanced and hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced experience with Java engineering
• Must have substantial experience with solutions architecture
• Must have substantial experience with AWS, and strongly prefer AWS certification
• Must have advanced understanding of agile methodologies

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes
• Experience in risk and risk control compliance
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
• Fast learning, enjoys solving complex problems and creating simple solutions
