What You Will Be Doing

The Hitachi Vantara Remote Ops Team is looking for a Software Developer to join its development team and work for a dedicated customer enhancing their applications. The Software Developer will design and develop applications using appropriate languages, tools, and techniques. The ideal candidate should have experience working in software development, managing multiple frequent releases, and coordinating with other developers and/or development teams.

Job Functions:

• Must be able to quickly understand technical and business requirements and be able to translate into technical implementation.
• Design and recommend software solution architectures.
• Develop software applications with a high degree of quality and timeliness.
• Write design specification documents for new projects.
• Using a project scheduling application, determine tasks, assign resources, and manage a project.
• Learn new technologies as required to keep abreast of the latest technologies and apply them as appropriate to software projects.

What You Will Bring To The Team

• Must be able to quickly understand technical and business requirements and be able to translate into technical implementation.
• Experience in customer facing roles.
• Design and recommend software solution architectures.
• Develop software applications with a high degree of quality and timeliness.
• Write design specification documents for new projects.
• Learn new technologies as required to keep abreast of the latest technologies and apply them as appropriate to software projects.
• A BS degree in Computer Science or similar is required.
• Write code and test code in customer's test environment.
• Also responsible for troubleshooting code written by the rest of the team.
• Really strong in Java and Rest API experience, required.
• The ideal candidate will have experience with the following related to JAVA:
  • Unit Testing
• Dependency Injection
• Object Oriented Design
• Junit
• Integration Testing
• Maven
• Python experience a plus
• Experience with Relational/NonRelational Databases such as the following:
• MySql
• Postgres
• Mongo
• Redis
• The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a Developer or similar, required.
