As a Software Engineer in the Corporate Investment Bank Technology area based in Delaware, you will be a member of a wider global team focused on the delivery of the Strategic Architecture for Post Trade Technology. You will join a growing agile feature team that is responsible for developing a strategic data aggregation and distribution platform. You will work closely with colleagues and the business to understand both functional and non-functional requirements, and then help drive the design and implementation of well tested, easily supportable, scalable and robust solutions.
You must be an experienced developer with a proven track record of hands on delivery. You must be a strong core Java developer who develops using Test Driven Development and is familiar with working in a Continual Integration environment on a shared code base. You will be passionate about writing high quality code and be familiar with tools used to measure quality, security and performance. Your technical experience will allow you to take the lead on feature design and development, as well as allowing you to identify new features and help form the strategy and direction of the program. You will be an experienced agile feature team member proficient in estimating and prioritizing feature backlogs to ensure that a team is productive and continually delivers, while managing stakeholder expectations and meeting commitments made.

Required Skills
Essential:
• Experience in core Java (version 8 or higher) development with Spring or similar frameworks
• Test Driven Development using JUnit
• Experience with Linux shell scripting
• Experience in designing and building reusable services
• Proven track record in application delivery and stakeholder management
• Commercial awareness
Desirable:
• Experience developing open source libraries or internal libraries that are integrated into applications by other internal teams
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms & multi-threaded programming
• Experience working on high throughput mission critical high performance STP platforms
• Build automation using Maven
• Behavior Driven Development using FitNesse or Cucumber
• Experience configuring Continual Integration in Jenkins
• Experience with Cloud native software deployment ideally AWS
• Experience with message bus technologies such as Kafka or AMPS
• Experience with database technologies (e.g. Cassandra and Oracle)
