As a System Characterization Engineer in the DRAM Engineering Group at Micron Technology Inc., you will join a team responsible for computer system-level validation and characterization, failure analysis, and experimentation.
This role will include running and configuring diagnostic software, system debug, designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, crafting custom tools and communicating data to multi-functional teams and customers.
It will be common to use equipment such as oscilloscopes, protocol/logic analyzers, and custom debug tools based in python or C.
This role engages with other specialists within and outside our departments as well as regular collaboration with system/memory enablers outside of Micron to enable next generation memory technology in future.
On occasion, you may need to carry out these responsibilities at the customers' site.
Responsibilities

• Perform system level characterization focused on interaction with memory products
• Develop tools and methodologies to perform characterization, automation and improve memory diagnostic tests
• Support next generation computer system evaluations and development
• Perform System Characterization and Failure Analysis (FA)
• Collaborating with system enablers outside of Micron

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• BSEE/CS or higher
• Hardware: X86, ARM, Computer System, DRAM, Intel, AMD
• Equipment: Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, motherboard
• Software: Python, Linux, C
• Knowledge in computer system and/or DRAM operation
• Strong collaboration, problem solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated and hard-working
