Job Description

Visa operates the world's largest retail electronic payments network and is one of the most recognized global financial services brands. As a Senior Director of Cybersecurity Operations, your responsibility will be to lead diverse and global teams responsible for management, support, and implement/drive improvements to Visa’s global network.

This position is in Atlanta as a preferred location.

This role is a recognized expert within Visa responsible for contributing to the development of functional operations. 

  • Lead crisis/incident event management incidents for Cybersecurity Operational issues

  • Support inline network security infrastructure globally including Firewalls, DDOS mitigation systems, Proxies, WAFs and IPS/IDS systems,

  • Continually provide technical coordination, oversight and leadership for staff and serve as escalation point for complex technical issues

  • Drive bottoms-up improvements for Cybersecurity Operations (including Level-1 & Level-2 Incident management, Change management and Problem management)

  • Plan, design, implement and provides ongoing support of Cybersecurity systems of high complexity in key customer facing, commercial payments and corporate environments to fulfil the business needs

  • Establish industry leading operational practices/methodologies for problem resolution in a global, 24 x 7, high volume, high availability, critical production environment, based on metrics (KPI and KRI’s).

  • Continually provide technical coordination, oversight and leadership for staff and serve as escalation point for complex technical issues

  • Foster the culture of conducting blameless root-cause reviews and encourage learning to improve operational excellence

  • Take a metric/data driven approach to identify gaps in processes, framework, Etc. Increase the use of automation to perform self-healing or initial triage of the incidents to reduce manual execution of the playbooks.

  • Build and maintain relationship with other network global and virtual teams and third parties on development or support issues

  • Lead development of Cybersecurity Solutions, testing and QA functions to ensure that projects are securely delivered and fulfil expectations

  • Provide highest level of technical consultancy to ensure problem resolution is achieved in the shortest possible timeframe

  • Provide technical requirements and assistance for investigation and analysis of security alerts

  • Develop processes and procedures for use by the Cybersecurity team and third parties in the management of network environments

  • Develop and position solutions and create a roadmap to effectively gain buy-in from all stakeholders

  • Mentor junior team members, develop departmental procedures and best practices standards

  • Provide recommendations to management team to increase effectiveness of organization and technology solutions

  • Support adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements to Cybersecurity engineering, and assist when requested to lab deployments for technology trials.

  • Ensure that information security and risk management are embedded within the culture requiring continuous improvement to a complex set of functions to coordinate security and compliance risks related to information systems and assets.

  • Lead development of innovation and strategic direction in application of theories and concepts in data network design, configuration, administration, maintenance and/or support.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projects. 

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills

  • Willing to work as a team and share responsibilities where needed 

  • Ability to convey Cybersecurity concepts and issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD); PhD with 9+ years of experience
• Expert knowledge of Checkpoint, Cisco, Palo Alto, BroadCom, Imperva/NetScout Cybersecurity equipment and software – Certifications on these current platforms preferred
• Experience in an enterprise Cybersecurity solutions and IP networks in mission-critical, 24x7 production environments
• Experience in using management and monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Indeni, Nagios, other open-source monitoring solutions (creating/maintaining dashboards, runbooks, for various security platforms (including firewalls, proxies, DLP, security host solutions, etc…).
• 5 years related experience in infrastructure/network environments and designing, planning, documenting, and implementing LANs and WANs using latest technology
• Advanced process orientation and exhibited planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
• 2-3 years Python and Ansible experience may be needed in the role
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols
• Experience in high-availability networks in load-balanced, n-tier application environments
• Ability to understand systems from all levels, from the "big picture" enterprise-level view to the low level technical view
• Ability to write technical design and build documentations for all aspects of a technical infrastructure
• Ability to represent technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels internally and externally to support strategic organizational plans
• Demonstrate ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs
• ITIL certification and Scrum/Agile Delivery

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
