PURPOSE

This position is responsible for developing and supporting capabilities for Customer Order Management and Supply-Chain management related applications.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • 5-10 years of development & implementation experience or retail systems experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and data analysis skills
  • Ability to grasp and learn new tools and technologies as needed to complete job tasks
  • Ability to convey technical specifications in a business-friendly manner
  • Demonstrated proficiency with one or more technology environments and the ability to readily learn and apply new and emerging concepts



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in basic Linux commands
  • Programming languages/protocols skills/knowledge (Java, Python, Pearl, Shell script) is a plus.
  • Experience with Java/JEE Frameworks/Technologies (SpringBoot, Hibernate, JMS, JPA)
  • Experience with Java Application Server ( JBoss / Jetty / etc)
  • Front end and back end Web development HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX for front end
  • Mobile / Web Javascript frameworks experience (angular, react, backbone and phone gap or equivalent a plus)
  • Experience writing efficient SQL (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Issue and project tracking (JIRA, MS Project)
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies preferably either Azure or GCP
  • Experience in Kubernetes in an added advantage
  • Hand on knowledge on CI/CD frameworks and Microservices architecture



Nice to Have

  • Experience or basic knowledge with Integration/ETL Platforms (Data Stage, Talend)
  • Knowledge in any Manhattan Associates software products (particularly their Cloud products) or knowledge of similar supply chain software products from other software vendors is an added advantage
  • Integration development and knowledge in web methods or similar integration technologies is a plus.



Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the full software development lifecycle for projects, enhancements and fixes including design, development, unit testing
  • Manage user issues and ticketing system related to application problems
  • Identifies risks and issues and escalates as necessary. Researches and document recommendation or solutions for upgrades, improvements, issue resolution to ensure a stable, available and protected technical infrastructure.
  • Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement
  • Analyze data and solve new and existing business issues.
  • High level of customer service
  • Work concurrently on multiple projects and tasks across different business units.
  • Ability to mentor team members as needed



Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  • Occasional travel may be required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
  • Hybrid work model is preferred (Remote most of the time and available at work for meetings and design discussions)



Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work - Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
