The Senior Content Test Engineer will be responsible for designing automated and manual test cases pertaining to the databases and security-oriented services of the Dragos Platform. They will be responsible for owning automation of test cases for analytics and the backend that supports them and ensuring the reliability and quality of the Dragos Platform working collaboratively with other members of the Content QE team to ensure quality and stability of the platform when shipping new analytics.

Responsibilities

• Focus on data flow between the sensor, which listens to network traffic in real-time, and the site store, which parses the logs and makes use of them
• Develop test strategy, test topology, and test plan to validate the solutions end-to-end at scale as it pertains to the back end of the system
• Execute test cases, validate the solution end-to-end, and document the test results, performance, and convergence results
• Collaborate with developers to determine acceptance criteria for new features
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues while working closely with the Engineering team on failures and the validation of fixes
• Develop automation for end-to-end solution validation and integrate automation for seamless validation
• Work with automation engineers to automate tests relating to analytics on the platform as well as database configuration/management

Requirements

• 5+ years software test experience focused primarily on front-end/UI manual and automation testing
• Strong knowledge of networking, Linux, UNIX, Routers, Switches and security domain (Firewall, IPS, IDS)
• Experience in automation framework with Python, Pytest, or similar
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining test environments (Both automation and manual testing)
• Experience designing and implementing test cases for systems with REST APIs
• Experience with one of the following technologies: Airflow, ELK stack
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins

Compensation

• Base Salary: $168,000
• Base + Benefits + Equity = $290,000

• Equity at Dragos is quickly growing and the total compensation under-represents the future growth and refresh program. This will be discussed on the first call with the Dragos recruiter.
