The Red Hat Healthcare Consulting team is looking for a Senior Container Infrastructure Architect to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of architecture solutions across our platform portfolio. You will represent Red Hat as the leading provider of cloud and container technologies, automation, and modern application development techniques. You will lead collaborative efforts with our healthcare customers and Red Hat consulting teams to build, test, and iterate over innovative solutions, and implement migration and modernization strategies. You'll contribute to customer success on project-based engagements by helping modernize the associate, process, and technological capabilities of their organization. You won't be expected to know everything on day one, but your ability to learn new technologies quickly will be crucial. As a Senior Container Infrastructure Architect, you'll have a critical role in supporting the Red Hat Healthcare Services Solutions team by bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat's product business units, product engineering, support, professional services, and sales teams, to meet the needs of our most demanding customers. You will serve as a customer advocate with these teams to architect the right solutions and to ensure that those solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way, taking healthcare industry concerns and promoting consistency in customer delivery into consideration. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Deliver successful discovery, analysis, and design workshops for small to medium teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape and influence the customer's use cases and architecture design decisions
  • Participate in pre-sales activity with healthcare leaders to understand organizational challenges and concisely present solutions that address all aspects of organizational adoptions: touching on people, process, and technology
  • Scope delivery projects and guide customers through successful pilot and production deployments
  • Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell , service, and support our cloud solutions at scale
  • Work closely with product business units, product engineering, consulting, support, and sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat's offerings
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat's services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in the healthcare community by producing world-class whitepapers, webinars, and code contributions to relevant projects and by speaking at industry-leading conferences


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related technology discipline
  • 6+ years of experience working working in a solution architect, enterprise architect or architect consulting delivery role with a solution sales mentality
  • Preferred experience in the Healthcare industry domain and regulation experience like General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Patient Data Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) data model, etc.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise software solutions within the healthcare industry
  • Experience leading successful projects or programs
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes platforms
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CoreOS, Ubuntu, and patching and lifecycle management tooling like Satellite
  • Experience working with platform management applications and tooling on-premise or cloud service providers
  • Knowledge of site reliability engineering (SRE) with some practical experience
  • Background in architecting and designing complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain
  • Record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior IT and business executives, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms
  • Proven ability to work seamlessly with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers
  • Solid balance of diplomatic and tactical skills with a high level of intellectual agility for original thought with passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
