Senior Cloud Automation Engineer
At Anaplan, we are looking for a self-motivated Senior Cloud Automation Engineer professional to join our growing team at Anaplan US, to be a member of the Foundation Engineering team, working across San Francisco, US, London, UK, and York, UK. This is an opportunity for you to work for one of the coolest hyper-growth companies in technology.
As a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer, you will have full ownership of multi-cloud and private cloud infrastructure. You will support Anaplan's production platform across their hybrid infrastructure.

What you will do:
* Design and implement highly scalable infrastructure in multi-cloud (AWS/GCP/Private cloud)
* Implementing Infra architecture using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.
* Build the Infrastructure configuration code taking into consideration reuse, extensibility and scalability requirements of the Anaplan Platform.
* Build the necessary testing automation for testing the infrastructure being built/configured
* Assists the team with integration of the application with the infrastructure components
* Develop framework for automating Day 0,1,2 infrastructure operations across hybrid cloud.
* Lead discussion of good practices/strategies for automation and integrations with different infrastructure services
* Visit and work across Anaplan sites in the US and Europe as required (minimal travel is needed, applicants must be willing and eligible)
* Provisioning, estimating cost and capacity as we scale to increase availability with our production environments.
* Develop technical discipline across organizations and Anaplan sites to strengthen alignment to standard methodologies and eliminate technical debt.
* Be an idea maker, as we scale and ingest more data you will need to recommend and implement new technical solutions.
You should apply if you have:
Experience with Python or Shell for scripting, and Git or similar version control systems.
* Strong knowledge of automation tools (Ansible/Chef/Puppet)
* Operational experience at scale and have deep knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Unix) and networking.
* Knowledge of standard methodologies and operations in an always-up always available environment
* Experience with Virtualization technologies such as VMware/KVM
* Experience working with Rest APIs to integrate Infrastructure components and create automation pipelines using tools like Terraform, packer, Ansible etc
* BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
