Senior Cloud Architect
Joining Collibra’s Production Engineering team:
- Reporting to Collibra's VP of Production Engineering, this role will have direct responsibilities and oversight for the well-architected frameworks of Collibra's multi-cloud infrastructure and cloud services, supporting internal development and our Customer Hosting Saas environments.
- You will be responsible for working with Software Architecture and Production Engineering to understand strategic initiatives and set the overall direction of the technical solutions in AWS, AWS GovCloud, GCP, and Azure
- You will provide designs for engineers on project, with focus on practical solutions that are scalable, secure, flexible, and supportable
Senior Cloud Architect's at Collibra are responsible for:
- Becoming deeply familiar with Collibra's as-is technical state of cloud deployments, with a focus on creating viable technical debt reduction programs and definition of future state architectures
- Engaging with internal and external technical stakeholders to understand how systems work and provide strategic solutions guidance
- Closely aligning with business stakeholders to shape and develop business cases for technical solutions
- Having a keen eye for cloud hosting and infrastructure efficiencies that contribute to cost savings at scale
You Have:
- 8+ years of designing infrastructure services and 6+ years of hands-on experience with practical Single and Multi-tenant SaaS solution implementation in AWS and GCP. Azure is a plus
- Direct experience designing and implementing multi-cloud SaaS infrastructure, tooling, automation, and cloud services at scale
- An understanding of AWS account/IAM/policy and GCP Org design best practices at significant scale
- Terraform (or similar) hands-on experience / expert understanding of IAC principles
- An understanding of Kubernetes and containerization frameworks. Istio Service Mesh is a plus
- DevSecOps knowledge - security by design for public cloud environments is a plus
You Are:
- Knowledgeable of networking concepts around WAN/Transit networks, Application Delivery, & routing protocols
- Experienced in product lifecycle process; contributed to and/ or created product and technical requirements at enterprise level and detailed design documents including security, transaction, capacity and bandwidth models, systems definition and operational procedures as planned
- Experienced with DevOps tools for CICD, version control, Infrastructure as Code (e.g. GoCD, GitHub, Ansible, Terraform) and security tooling
- Familiar with agile concepts and have working experience in agile team culture
- Always curious about new technologies and creation solutions
- A culture carrier who believes in a one team mentality and that nothing should be designed or built in a vacuum
Measuring Success:
- Within your first month, you will absorb fundamental knowledge about Collibra's public cloud infrastructure and deployments, processes, and tools and start building team & cross-functional relationships
- Within your third month, you will begin to actively participate in solution focused conversations, contributing practical ideas to viable solutions
- Within your sixth month, you will take ownership of independent engagement across a multitude of stakeholders, attending centralized Architecture meetings and acting as a conduit between Production Engineering teams and Product Management
