Scrum Master (Engineer III)
Engineer III, Scrum Master
You will support one or more delivery teams within a fast-paced application development environment. You will be a critical member of the core delivery team leadership empowered to help build high performing, self-directed teams that build shippable products, and will be responsible for Agile project coordination efforts to support various upstream and downstream teams.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently teach others the principles and practices from Scrum, Kanban, the Agile Manifesto and Lean
- Serve as a Scrum Master for 2-3 scrum teams
- Facilitate impediment resolution in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Ensure accuracy and transparency of work so that relevant and reliable information is available to all decision-making stakeholders
- Assist in training on Agile practices
- Coach Scrum Teams and the Agile leaders associated with those teams including, but not limited to, Product Owners and Functional Managers
- Understand the products being worked on and champion the Omnicell vision and mission
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with Scrum
- Ability to conduct formal training classes
- Great coaching, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to navigate and influence in a Matrix Management model
- Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of related experience as Project Manager, Business Analyst, Tester/QA, Developer, electrical or mechanical engineer, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Project Manager (degree is optional)
- 2 years of experience leading Agile/Scrum teams, serving as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach or Agile Project Manager
- Agile Certification (CSM, CSP, CSPO, SPC4, etc.)
- Has experienced working with Software Developement Teams - Part of the development process, Knows SDLC
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare experience
- Experience with mission-critical 24x7 systems
- Familiar with SaaS and Cloud based applications/environments
- Experience developing or been part of a team that developed commercial software solutions for external users
Work Conditions
- Ability to travel up to 25%-30%
- Potential to run remote scrum teams
