Finance Systems Developer

POSITION SUMMARY:

Signet is looking for a motivated and passionate developer to fill the Finance Systems Developer role in the IT Finance organization. This role will work primarily on Finance ERP systems (SAP) in support of multiple Signet Business Units utilizing advanced technical knowledge and building/configuring complex solutions including requirement analysis, prototyping, designing and developing solutions in addition to supporting steady-state operations of Finance technology assets.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide programming support and direction for complex business scenarios with RICEFW objects in all Enterprise Business modules including Procurement, Finance, AP, AR, Vendor Invoice Management, Taxation, and Point of Sale.
  • Strong understanding of UI principles and app configuration.
  • Understanding and designing OData services and able to communicate between Enterprise and Front-End App services
  • Convert business requirements into Technical Design Documents and design, develop, test, and deploy complex solutions.
  • Provide necessary system user training with comprehensive specifications, documentation, test documents and code review, etc.
  • Apply advanced principles and concepts in delivering solutions. Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with various teams across the organization to architect, solution and implement enhancements, projects and programs.
  • Responsible for Unit testing, Integration test fixes, regression testing, coordination of UAT testing and cut-over activities
  • Solid understanding of data concepts for transformation projects as well as steady-state operations.
  • Coordinate with the business analysts and ensure proper and effective integration of business process and procedures into Enterprise solutions.
  • Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and come up with solutions to improve performance of existing Enterprise applications using performance tuning techniques and implement.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationship with customers, team members and project leadership.
  • Implement existing and emerging technologies seeking innovative solutions to common problems at system level.
  • Provide training to business users on Enterprise applications.
  • Extensive experience in working with Waterfall and Agile model project implementations.
  • Strong support experience with ability to triage incidents, perform root cause analysis and provide direction or fixes to resolve incidents. Solid understanding of ITSM processes and Change Management procedures to deliver fixes/changes to production. Support business needs and meet SLAs for tickets.



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Bachelor of Science/Engineering

Years of Job-Related Experience Required: Minimum 6+ years of total IT experience and at least 3+ years with Finance ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS

Technical/Other Skills Required:

  • At least 1 full life cycle implementation experience with a large ERP transformation program.
  • Deep Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle database skills.
  • SAP Finance experience preferred, but open to Oracle EBS experience.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, SAP HANA DB, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP XI/PI, SAP Workflow preferred.
  • Deep Experience integrating with omni-channel - POS systems and E-Commerce systems and other Retail systems leveraging Informatica Power Center / Informatica MFT.
  • Solid experience with Unix Scripting and Linux systems.
  • Experience with SAP Master Data.
  • Experience with engaging and collaborating with business and IT teams/stakeholders leveraging techno-functional and leadership background to provide technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Experience with implementing ERP solutions utilizing SI vendors and global delivery models and experience interfacing with AMS solution providers.
  • Deep experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) along with Agile development practices.
  • Experience leveraging functional know-how and subject matter expertise to drive continuous improvement, adoption and maturity of Retail technology capabilities.
  • Ability and aptitude to stay current in emerging technologies, trends, and best practices and add value to the organization by identifying growth/improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to operate in a fluid environment with competing priorities while managing project delivery and operational tasks efficiently.
