The Opportunity

This Cloud Acceleration Team (CAT) is responsible for enabling stream-aligned product teams to deliver product features to the business at a higher velocity with reduced coordination. The team enables a cloud native platform comprised of a foundation of self-service APIs, tools, services, knowledge, support, organizational structure and operating model arranged as a compelling product. The team will provide operational support for the platform initially to enable accelerated feature delivery.

The candidate will define public cloud centric core infrastructure services and common design patterns for computing, storage, networking and security domains. The candidate will develop and maintain automation frameworks for platform provisioning that can be consumed application product teams. The candidate will advise application product teams on incorporating cloud infrastructure capabilities with a devOps mindset. The candidate will actively collaborate with site reliability engineers to develop patterns, templates and standards for CI/CD pipeline automation. The candidate will identify emerging cloud infrastructure services to meet SIC business resiliency requirements.

The candidate must be pragmatic, results-driven and able to articulate complex IT concepts to all audiences, ranging from technical contributors inside and outside the company. The Standard is on a multi-year program to modernize key infrastructure and business systems. These programs are in flight now and we are looking for an ideal candidate who is a thought leader, consensus builder with a technology savvy mindset.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for build of services to effectively provision, install/configure public cloud infrastructure including networking, compute and storage patterns
  • Partner with application teams to design and implement infrastructure-as-code stacks that meet the needs of the applications
  • Actively develop and support self-service catalogs for infrastructure provisioning and make them available to application teams
  • Advise on all aspects of cloud infrastructure offerings and solution design
  • Ensure that infrastructure provisioning automation satisfies IT general controls and solutions are deployed in a secure manner
  • Provide hands-on technical coaching to accelerate cloud infrastructure learnings across the organization
  • Provide thought leadership on creating solutions built with SAAS, PaaS and IaaS components
  • Provide accurate and current information on all Azure services and serve as a consultant technical teams to solve business use cases



Who we want:

We are looking for a cloud technologist with a demonstrated track record, including:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with major Cloud Service Provider(s) such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code expertise with technologies such as Terraform, AzureRM, and CloudFormation
  • Extensive experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, AWS/Azure CLI, and Bash
  • Strong experience with automation methodologies and processes improvement
  • Experience with pipeline deployments & automation using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar
  • Experience collaborating with service providers and partners



Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert is a plus
  • Experience deploying Serverless web applications or functions on a cloud platform
  • Experience operating in an AGILE environment. SAFe DevOps Practitioner is a plus
  • Experience with container technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Instances, along with related Service Mesh technologies such as Istio.
  • Experience with programming languages and frameworks, such as Angular, Java, and .NET



Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience in an enterprise organization
  • 3+ years of DevOps or automation
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure and Platform engineering for high availability and scalable architectures
  • 2+ years of experience with Cloud Services
  • 2+ years of experience with Metrics, Events, Logging, and Tracing solutions such as Log Analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

Salary Range:
$96,800.00 - $169,700.00
