The Job At-a-Glance:
Q2 Premier Services is seeking a Professional Services Quality Assurance Manager to lead a team of developers in delivering Digital Banking software projects. These projects include custom development as well as data and application integration. This individual will be focused on the quality and efficiency of the software development life cycle with an eye toward people management, process improvement, and team leadership.
A Typical Day:
- Lead and manage a team of more than a dozen quality engineers
- Hire and build high-performance teams that meet and exceed baseline expectations
- Develop and hold the team accountable for quality assurance and checkpoints to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Monitor and impact key metrics and efficiencies
- Develop a team that creates and adheres to Q2's best practices
- Provide guidance and mentorship to QA engineers and the implementation team on the software development life cycle
- Transition the team to a consultative approach of custom development that meets customer needs with high efficiency
- Evaluate and introduce constant improvements to the custom development process
- Work closely with the Delivery Managers and Project Managers to provide technical support and resources for projects
- Work closely with Product, Implementation, IT/Data Center Operations, and Customers to help troubleshoot complex issues
- Engage the stakeholders within Q2 to ensure team goals are met
- Analyze project metrics and align initiatives with department direction
- Take responsibility for ensuring adherence to all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls
Bring Your Passion, Do What you Love. Here's What We're Looking For:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience.
- Typically requires 1-2 years managing and developing employees.
- Waterfall/Hybrid/Agile delivery experience required
- Strong team leadership qualities with proven experience growing and mentoring teams
- Excellent written/oral communication skills and ability to interface effectively with peer managers, internal senior management, and customers
- The ability to remain calm, diplomatic, and cooperative under stressful conditions
- Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with enterprise software deployment architecture and methodologies
- Experience building, growing, motivating, and mentoring high-performance teams
- Experience interfacing directly with customer leadership
- Articulate, thorough, and process-minded
- Experience within a multi-tiered environment
- Extensive experience of the software development life cycle with a specific focus on requirements, design, and testing
