STRATIS, a RealPage company, is actively seeking an experienced and passionate QA Tech to join its engineering teams who are creating & molding the next generation of smart building technology. WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a QA Tech you will be tasked with creating. documenting, and executing detailed test cases across the whole of our system and product offerings. You will also be responsible for composing detailed bug reports and communicating with developers in investigating issues and verifying issue resolutions. This position has to be based in the Philadelphia, PA area due to the hardware testing aspect.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consistently act as an advocate for the end-user experience, ensuring a high-quality user experience, and recommending improvements or revisions to the engineering team
  • Continuously identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in our software and its functionality
  • Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and provide detailed bug reports
  • Compare software functionality with specifications and documentation
  • Respond to inquiries from internal / partner stakeholders and technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs
  • Always looking to improve as a team - contribute to the establishment of standards and procedures for the QA program
  • Assist 3rd party partner QA teams in their testing efforts
  • Document, track, and communicate test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems
  • Review and contribute to internal/external documentation to enable continuous refinement



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • At least two years of software QA experience
  • Experience in utilizing Azure to track testing during QA cycles
  • Extreme initiative, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Adaptability in picking up new technology quickly
  • Flexibility in rapid context switching between vastly different technologies and devices



PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience working with Access Control Systems (e.g. Schlage, Salto, Brivo)
  • Experience working with devices from a wide variety of IoT technologies, such as Z-Wave, WiFi, Lutron, Nest, Zigbee
  • Specific QA eperience in systems that bridge software platforms and hardware devices
