MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office.

MSWM Advisory Quality Engineering team supports testing of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Advisory business within Investment Solutions. Both strategic and tactical projects are supported, and team partners with development, business and operational stakeholders to ensure overall code quality and manage risk. Team members work with test manager and other test analysts to plan and execute testing tasks, as well as developing test scripts.

As a lead software quality engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia, you will be designing and building test cases for applications that support Advisory programs within Wealth Management, with a focus on automating testing, leveraging internally developed automation tools. In the lead role, you will be helping to ensure alignment of testing efforts and automation across different squads and enabling cross-functional collaboration to achieve best results for the business.

The right candidate will be working on Advisory projects, creating new scripts, writing and modifying and running testing scripts and directing and facilitating those efforts for testing squad members. Candidate will work with business and development stakeholders and testing team members, to facilitate the efforts of Agile squads. Candidate will collaborate across squads to support and facilitate automation efforts.

Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in testing / development, demonstrating deep knowledge and hands on experience with functional, regression and integration testing of web and client server applications.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of team
• Ability to facilitate efforts of global team, to coordinate and provide direction.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology (preferred: experience as member of Agile squad).
• Familiarity with API testing, service virtualization, UI and back end testing
• Strong structured testing knowledge and thorough understanding of quality assurance testing applications and concept
• Proficiency in one or more test automation language
• Ability to understand Java code, familiarity with scripting language
• Working knowledge of database systems such as DB2, etc., familiarity with SQL and ability to write SQL querie
