Python ETL Engineer

The Role

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technology related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required with at least 5 years of work experience
• 5-7 years of experience working with REST APIs in support of ETL process for connecting to, pulling, transforming, and storing data
• 2-3 years of experience working with Python across the development stack; for example, data pipelines, RESTful APIs, cloud native apps, and/or front-end applications.
• 2-3 years of experience with CI/CD Methodology, specifically with Docker and/or Kubernetes and HashiCorp Vault secret injection
• 2-3 years of experience in SQL and knowledge of RDBMS concepts
• 2-3 years of experience working with AWS or Azure Cloud Environments
• 2-3 years of experience in CLI scripting
• 2-3 years of experience with Bit Bucket or GitHub distributed version control and source code management
• 1-2 years of Low Code Development with Microsoft Power Platform; including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, etc.
• Experience in Agile Scrum methodologies and development
• Experience working with YAML and JSON serialization formats
• Phenomenal documentation and organization skills especially with Confluence and Jira
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with a knack for explaining complex concepts to a non-technical audience
• Experience with Qualtrics API a plus
• R programing experience a plus
• GraphQL experience a plus
• Type Script / Java Script experience a plus
• Prior experience working within Fidelity Technology eco-system a plus

The Team

The HR Strategy and Insights team within Fidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) organization is seeking a Python ETL Engineer to build, document, and transition a data aggregation eco-system capable of connecting to a variety of internal and external data sources and loading them into our internal data warehouse. In this role, you will apply a variety of technologies to develop innovative data and technology solutions, focused on our customers' data needs. You will work independently to design, build, and implement this solution, and need to be diligent in your documentation and eventual transition of this solution to others on our team. Perfect project for someone who is innately curious and loves to tackle complex problems and explain and teach others how the problem was solved.
