As a Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) Engineering Technicians for Micron Technology, Inc., we are responsible for providing; full physical failure analysis, circuit edits, functional de-capsulation, supporting qualifications, customer returns, new device introduction, and general test failures. We are domain specialists on physical failure analysis, circuit edits and de-capsulation methods, tools and techniques. We are also responsible for understanding all relevant analytical techniques; electrical failure modes, architecture, fabrication process, device operation and device physics for groundbreaking solid-state memory devices! In our work environment we precisely follow lab policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Conducting Physical Defect Analysis
- Performing Circuit Edit
- Conducting Functional De-Capsulation

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
- Focused Ion Beam (FIB)
- Sample preparation (etching and mechanical polishing)
- Cadence (CAD)
- Electronics and an understanding of failure mechanisms
- Analytical techniques such as EDS
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes
- Knowledge or experience of assembly processes
- Fault isolation
Required:
- The ability to work a 12-hour shift, rotating Day/Night shifts, every 4 months. Actual days TBD
Education Required:
Associates Degree (Microscopy/Electronics) Bachelors Degree (non engineering) or equivalent experience in:
- Microscopy
- Semiconductor Manufacturing
- Electronics
