Overview:

We are seeking a successful DevOps Platform Architect that has technical depth across the full DevOps spectrum along with leading and evangelizing transformations and driving innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategy for automated gated pipelines across all services and micro services that make up Blackhawk ecosystem.
  • Optimize tools and processes for efficiency, cost, stability, and developer productivity
  • Leverage programming skills to design and develop DevOps tooling on various infrastructure platforms
  • Research, evaluate and select the right solutions from new and existing tools
  • Evangelize standardized process and framework across services where relevant
  • Collaborate across DevOps and product engineering teams to ensure a robust pipeline



Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of relevant enterprise systems implementation and software engineering work experience
  • Must have strong programming experience in Python, Java, Groovy or Go.
  • Hands on coding engineer developing applications and tools using one or more of the following programming languages - Java, Groovy, Python, or Go (with strong understanding of at least one of them).
  • Experience architecting cloud native and hybrid CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab.
  • Technical knowledge of network protocols, security audit considerations to influence the architecture of a flexible yet secure cloud framework.
  • Experience in systems automation, virtualization, orchestration, continuous integration, deployment, and implementation
  • Experience working in managing Project with strong understanding of tools and automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
  • Strong experience providing thought leadership on and practicing DevOps practices and tools (e.g., work management, secure coding practices, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.).
  • Ability to balance the value of process vs deliverables.
  • Ability to recommend alternative solutions in a practical manner.
  • Ability to see relationship between details and big picture.
  • Belief in the "Everything is Code" paradigm.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Ability to work individually as well as with a team.
  • Previous experience or significant aptitude with Infrastructure As Code creation (CloudFormation, Terraform etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline required
