What makes someone choose one company over another? Pay, Benefits, Training, Work Satisfaction, Culture? What if you can have it all! At G2 Ops we have extremely competitive pay and benefits and that is not even the best part. Our culture is what sets us apart from other companies. Here, you will not be another payroll number or a cog in the machine. We provide great value to our customers by working as a team and ensuring every member is set up for success. Our team approach allows for each member to not only provide value with their expertise but also gives them the opportunity to cross train in other areas they have interest in.

Let's talk salary. The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $125,000 and goes up to $155,000+, based on your experience and qualifications. We'd like to start somewhere in that ballpark and go from there. With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus on the spot awards for recognition; your performance will be rewarded and recognized, we promise!

So you want to work from home? Let's be honest, remote work is not always all it's cut out to be. At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our employees and customers. Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have your own new, shiny desk at one of our G2 Ops offices, plus the occasional opportunity to work on-site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior IT Department and manager approval. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!

Still not convinced? We are seeking a seasoned DoD cybersecurity pro to join our security team as a Principal Security Engineer. You will be supporting the cybersecurity aspects of new, next-generation systems being developed by the research and development community for Navy submarine afloat and shore platforms. Our team is tasked with providing end-to-end cybersecurity for these systems, and you will be at the forefront spearheading as a cybersecurity subject matter expert – working directly with developers from the R&D community and submarine fleet stakeholders to ‘bake in’ cybersecurity from initial design through deployment. You and your teammates will be responsible for shepherding systems through all steps of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and achieving IATTs and ATOs, as well as the Navy’s Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) processes.

The position is a great fit for those multi-talented types that enjoy end-to-end cybersecurity. You are probably aware that most cyber positions stovepipe people into either technical (designing secure solutions, validating STIGs, etc.) or management (creating RMF artifacts, maintaining security POA&Ms, etc.). This position isn’t like that – you’ll be responsible (along with your teammates) for the entire spectrum of cyber support activities, technical to management, cradle to grave.

What does this mean to you? We are searching for an individual that is functional on both the technical and management aspects of cyber in the DoD, with a focus on RMF. On the management side, you need a strong understanding of RMF requirements and processes and how to navigate them to achieve IATTs and ATOs. This includes creating the documents, reports, and artifacts that go in to an RMF package. We will need to install the systems you secure in the fleet, so experience in FRCB processes is beneficial. On the technical side, we are you will need to be functional on cyber tools (ACAS, SCC, etc.) and processes (STIGs/SRGs, etc.), but we’re searching for a person that understands cyber beyond the ‘checklist’ level and that can work with developers to create not just compliant systems but secure systems.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD TS//SCI clearance or a current SECRET clearance with the ability to get TS//SCI DoD SECRET clearance (we are working with the R&D community on next-gen capabilities, after all). You will also need an IAT Level II certification.

Quick Note: We are seeking full-time employees; the continuation of outside employment shall not constitute a conflict with the Company’s interest, including performing work for a customer or competitor.
