As a Global Quality (GQ) Package Reliability Operations, Electromagnetic Compliance (EMC) Engineer at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for performing component and system-level EMC testing, EMI characterization, analysis, and reporting. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external engineering groups, including working closely with field application engineers, product engineers, internal domain specialists, and customers.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Setup and Perform AECQ100 E9 radiated emissions measurements
  • Analysis of EMI measurement data and completing industry-standard reports
  • Development of internal EMI characterization tools and methodologies, including EMI simulation of components and systems
  • Enable and configure customer test platforms to verify and fix customer-reported EMI problems
  • Design and maintain efficient solutions for internal testing
  • Work with internal subject matter experts on customer-reported EMI problems and solutions
  • Develop and maintain internal EMC procedures, techniques, and analysis while performing measurements
  • Keep up to date on EMC related industry standards and testing practice


Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the following fields: EMC Test and Measurement, Characterization and RF
  • Understanding of Electromagnetics, EMI/EMC, RF, and antennas
  • Detailed understanding of EMI measurement tools
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC test methodologies
  • LabVIEW test software experience preferred
  • Good communication, documentation, leadership, problem solving skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Skills in presenting technical concepts to customers and application engineers
  • Experience with the spectrum and network analyzers
  • Experience with anechoic chambers, TEM/GTEM, and near field measurements
  • Experience with customer support and customer engagement


Education

  • Requires bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Requires MSEE's Degree in Electrical Engineering


Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when vital. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
