Overview
In this role, you will work on a team of highly skilled Network Engineers responsible for the end-to-end ownership of our network within our data centers, corporate sites, and AWS. This includes the design/architecture, definition and enforcement of standards, security, sustainability/scalability, deployment, security, scripting and automation, and operations of all our systems.
Our ideal candidate has the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment and the drive to push themselves to ensure they complete all tasks on time and ensure they are done correctly and neatly.
Job Description

  • Support and lead the implementation and day-to-day operations of the company's rapidly growing network and voice infrastructure (including but not limited to LAN, WAN, VPN's, QoS, Firewalls, and VoIP)
  • Oversee and execute planned network maintenance work, minimizing operational impact and ensuring continued smooth operation of the data and voice network infrastructure which may include working weekends and or late evenings.
  • Collaborate with other team members and groups to identify and develop scalable network designs, solutions, and policy
  • Troubleshoot, document, resolve and communicate issues to other employees and management
  • Travel within the US for up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned including but not limited to replacing batteries, racking and stacking equipment, mounting TVs, configuring audio and video for zoom rooms, keeping track of inventory, lifting 70lbs, etc.

Ideal Candidate will have the following:
Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working with routing, switching, wireless protocols, DHCP and DNS
  • Must know and understand the OSI model, specifically layers 1 through 4
  • Knowledgeable in cabling, both copper and fiber (terminating, splicing)
  • Exposure and experience working with next generation layer 7 firewalls
  • Troubleshooting experience working with networking tools such as wireshark, nslookup, MTR, traceroute, iperf, etc.
  • Experience working with Linux systems and shells, daemons, and processes
  • JNCIA or CCNA or direct related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metrics
  • JNCIS or above certifications
  • Experience with AWS environments including VPC's, Transit gateways, security groups, Route53, etc.
  • Knowledge of FreeRADIUS, VPN's, Infoblox
  • Past experience administering Juniper SRX and/or Palo Alto firewalls including policies, tunnels, routing, upgrades, etc.
