Job Description As a member of our Infrastructure Support team, your endless curiosity about technology will help you propel innovation and your career. You'll help develop functional goals and priorities that align with our overall strategy. You'll collaborate with our talented and dedicated problem-solving technologists across the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global network.
The JPMC Web Team is responsible for providing build ,SRE and operational support services for all the leading Applications and Web Servers across UNIX and Windows (Distributed) platforms for multiple lines of business giving the successful candidate an opportunity to broaden not only their technical skills but also knowledge of the businesses that combine to make up JPMorgan. The Web product offerings enable greater automation, security and stability within the web middleware product space. The team works in conjunction with other technology towers and LOBs to ensure that Web products are deployed around a set of standards and best practices that is integrated with the enterprise infrastructure. We are looking for a Web Engineer who has a proven track record in Application & Web Server deployment and administration.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Bachelor of Science/Computers degree or equivalent experience
  • Deploying App/Web servers in a large enterprise and upgrading.
  • Installation and Configuration of Web/App servers and configuring enterprise apps from scratch - Extensive Web admin experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Apache Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere / IHS, Weblogic and a passion for debugging complex problems.
  • Network Products and Protocols (TCP/IP, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Intrusion Detection, DNS).
  • Good understanding of Security standards (TLS, Ciphers, certs).
  • Good working knowledge of JMS, J2C, JDBC, JCA, Web Services and integration with upstream/downstream services
  • Scripting languages - PERL, Shell, Powershell and exposure to at least one of the following operating systems - Linux; Solaris; AIX
  • Exposure to industry recognized monitoring tools (For e.g. Wily, AppDynamics, Grafana)
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, BitBucket, GIT, other CI/CD tools and experience in end-to-end systems automation, orchestration and monitoring.
  • Any Web / cloud certifications are a plus.


It's nice if you have:• Experience of working on cloud, java build pack, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages• Hands on knowledge on Java, Python, Ansible, Bit Bucket• Working Knowledge on cloud or other platform level technology or service (Cloud Foundry, Mesos, Kubernetes etc.)
Good written and verbal communication is an important part of the role as you will be part of a global team that will be collectively responsible to deliver on projects.
