Marine Engineer - Structure
Job Description:
There are several positions available that range from entry level to supervisory and span across different technical disciplines.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Responsible for the management of required deliverables and technical accuracy per assigned project.
-Responsible for progressing assigned functional work.
-Read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
-Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and meet project deadlines.
-Adhere to ECS design standard practices, quality assurance, and procedures.
-Other duties as assigned to support current/future customers as well as corporate goals/objectives.
Required Skills:
- BS in a related engineering discipline
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience range: Entry Level to twenty + years
- Marine engineering experience in related disciplines (structure, mechanical, electrical).
- Specifically, experience in Naval Architecture, hull, stability, FEA, and outfitting.
- Exposure to a shipyard or production environment.
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Ability to work independently but maintain strong communication skills and coordination with the team.
Desired Skills:
-Strong working knowledge of Maritime Regulatory Authorities (i.e. ABS, DNV, NAVSEA, MIL, Navy, IMO, etc.).
-Strong understanding of each of the design phases (Conceptual, Functional, Detail).
