Job Description
Responsibilities :

  • Manage a team of approximately 5-7 Software Engineers and System Engineers who are part of a 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Guide team members assigned to create new tools and features using an Agile methodology. Be the technology owner for the tools created and maintained by our team
  • Lead team members responsible for grooming and completing requests for provisioning work. These requests span a broad and deep set of technologies and skills for on-prem and cloud-based services.
  • Promote action on new ideas which decrease friction with the delivery teams who request our services and to increase availability of services once they're in production.
  • Lead the team to document, prioritize, solution, and implement tech-debt within the Systems Engineering space as it is uncovered.
  • Work with technology leaders within our group and our organization to prioritize work, set common strategic goals, and ensure the Operations Engineering team achieves commitments.


Basic Qualifications :

  • 2+ years experience with leadership responsibilities for guiding team member's work on specific outcome(s).
  • 5+ years experience working on business-critical systems.
  • Involvement in Agile software development methodologies to deliver new software features in front-ends and back-ends.
  • Experience building trust at all levels of the organization to create positive, lasting outcomes.
  • Experience facilitating improvements which increase reliability and availability.
  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms which includes AWS.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering practices including: cloud and on-premises provisioning, CI/CD management, and cloud solutioning.
  • Experience with instrumentation toolsets, including tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana,
  • Experience managing license agreements, budgets, accounts payable/receivable, and financial forecasts.


Required Education :
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
