We are excited to consider a remote partner engineer! Remote team members will be expected to work out of their home office.Working with the Cloud and Product Partnerships organization, you will use your technical expertise and business insight to ensure our high-value partners (both alliances and channels) are able to grow their business by integrating with New Relic's platform. You will enable our leading partners by providing domain expertise and by building technical assets, solutions and integrations which create joint value for New Relic, our partners, and customers. You will also be responsible for supporting the Partner technical sales team to effectively position our integration offerings.You have a keen understanding of partner needs, industry trends and you have outstanding software development skills at all levels. You love to solve technical problems in real-time and thrive on playing multiple roles - partner engineer, technology confidant, and evangelist!If you are ready to be part of this extraordinary story, this role is for you!
What you'll do

  • Develop integrations in collaboration with partners on New Relic's and partners' platforms
  • Validation of integrations jointly developed with our selected partners
  • Build technical assets such as workshops, solution packages, and technical docs for partner and customer enablement
  • Work closely with the product teams and partner engineering leads to pilot / launch the integration effort
  • Ensure timely resolution of partner issues by coordinating support responses
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the partner's business as well as their technical environment


This role requires

  • 5+ years of technical experience including hands on coding and writing specifications
  • Strong technical/engineering background
  • Development experience in one or more of the following languages - Java, Ruby, Golang, Python, JavaScript/Node.js
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure - Azure experience
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking & analytical skills


Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with Terraform and knowledge of CloudFormation
  • Specific experience in Application Performance Management (APM) concepts and/or other monitoring solutions
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience of helping or advising customers on cloud migration, Dev/Ops adoption and/or Digital transformation
  • Hands-on experience with React, Javascript, HTML5 and CSS (or equivalent experience with other front-end frameworks, such as Vue or Angular)
  • Open Source contributions
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
