ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are searching for a Lead QA Automation Engineer to lead all of our automation efforts. In this role, you will write, develop, deploy, and maintain test automation scripts for the purpose of regression and integration testing and be responsible for maintaining all automation servers and tools. As a strong leader on the team, you will provide support, guidance, and mentorship to the QA team, but will not formally manage the team.

ABOUT THE ENGINEERING TEAM

Our QA Team is a hardworking, data-driven, results-oriented team. We are not scared of problems, rather we embrace those challenges with open arms. We want someone with as much passion for the work as we have and who will make our apps better than we thought they could be.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide mentoring, training, and guidance to other members of the QA team
  •  Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases
  • Research, create, maintain, and execute comprehensive automated test plans for web and mobile based on an analysis of requirements, user stories, use cases, and technical design specifications
  • Create and maintain automated testing suites to streamline testing schedule
  • Prioritize items in sprint planning to deliver results on time with highest quality
  • Partner with Web, Android, and iOS developers for best practices E2E solutions
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and other Engineering Leads to develop an automation roadmap that supports company’s goals
  • Maintain and utilize our automation server and tools while continually looking for ways to improve processes  
  • Create and manage reports of automated test runs to share findings and information learned with your team
  • Assist your team in reaching CI/CD goals for most codebases
  • Apply industry best practices to improve product reliability and performance and develop new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, engineering, and/or coding
  • Experience providing leadership  to a team of automation developers
  • Experience developing automated UI tests for both web and mobile applications using frameworks like Appium, Airtest, and Selenium
  • Familiarity with QA testing processes and patterns and a range of automated testing strategies (image recognition, UI introspection, etc.) and Continuous Integration environments (ideally Jenkins and Github Actions)
  • Proficient in Cypress and/or Javascript
  • Experience writing automated API tests
  • Proven knowledge and experience in various test levels (system integration, performance, regression, and user acceptance)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to determine the root cause of problems and understanding of the conditions for their occurrence 
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical skills; detail- and quality-oriented

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Experience developing automation across multiple platforms (mobile, desktop, web)
  • Extensive knowledge of Selenium, Appium and Cypress.io
  • Experience with Javascript/Node.js
  • Experience with XCUITest(iOS) and/or Espresso(Android)
