Location: Cary, NC - Hybrid work arrangement. (In office 3 days per week. Remote 2 days per week.)

MetLife's Digital Automation (DA) team within Global Enterprise Platforms organization is focused on enabling digital transformation to achieve best-in-class customer experience. In DA, we utilize a wide array of leading digital automation platforms to build and deploy impactful automation solutions globally. Digital Automation team is responsible for exploration, evaluation, onboarding, implementation, governance, platform management, and support of various digital automation technologies including robotics process automation, business process management, intelligent and cognitive automation, conversational AI, electronic signature etc., in support of all lines of business across 40+ markets around the world. Our engineers and experts implement innovative solutions to digitize and streamline business processes to increase business value and optimize customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand business requirement and partner with multiple engineering teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
  • Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
  • Leading a group of developers
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Contribute to the BPM COE by developing best practices and guardrails for code development, review and reusability


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Top Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in design, development and maintaining of workflow Automation using any BPM tool
  • Good knowledge of .NET, C#
  • Enforcement of best practices/guardrails in BPM architecture, design, and coding


Additional Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience of customizations in K2 (Service Broker, Custom Controls, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Nintex K2 Five, K2 SmartForms, K2 Workflows, SQL is a plus
  • Hands-on experience SQL Server implementation skills (T-SQL, stored procedures, database design)
  • Goods knowledge of Digital Integration using SOA
  • Good knowledge of Web Services, REST
  • Good knowledge of jQuery, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Have good knowledge of declarative, decision rules, SLA, Correspondence, reporting functionalities, access management through access groups, roles and privileges, application versioning, and maintaining application rule sets
  • Worked in Agile methodology (SCRUM) and was able to complete requirements on time Key to your success is your excellent communication skills, and ability to present research and data in a clear and concise manner to a range of key audience groups
  • DevOps automated build, test, and development skills
  • Agile methodology and Scrum teams experience preferred
  • Experience in Azure cloud infrastructure and operation including Azure DevOps and building CI/CD pipeline for release automation and deployment
