About the job
The Red Hat Business Unit team is looking for an Intelligent Application Architect to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for intelligent application development as part of Red Hat's North America (NA) Intelligent Application Practice by specializing in the design and development of software applications using Red Hat Process Automation Manager, Red Hat Decision Manager, Red Hat Business Optimizer, and Open Data Hub.
What you will do

  • Use Decision Modeling and Notation (DMN), Business Process Management Notation (BPMN), and data analysis for credit risk determinations, medical claims processing, clinical decision making, and personnel scheduling
  • Write code in a variety of frameworks and at all levels of the stack from shell scripts and user interface (UI) to integrations and back-end Java systems
  • Advise clients and other consultants on intelligent application technologies through company workshops
  • Deploy containerized application solutions on top of Red Hat Openshift by engaging microservices and event-driven architectures and serverless technologies likeKogito and Knative architect and by creating OpenShift continuous integration (CI) and continuous development (CD) and machine learning pipelines using Openshift Pipelines.
  • Travel to client locations on a weekly basis to lead intelligent applications for client engagements
  • Work Schedule is 40 hours per week from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems,or a related field and 7+ years of experience working in the job offered or a related role
  • Must have three 3+ years of experience with developing cloud native applications for OpenShift; developing Java applications; Red Hat Process Automation Manager; Red Hat Decision Manager; software architecture
  • Travel required 75% of the time
  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed by Red Hat, Inc.
