Job Description We are seeking a passionate Full Stack developer to drive better, faster, simpler solutions and technology direction. The primary object of this role is to remove friction that is preventing developers across JPMC from being effective. The technology landscape in this area includes Spring Boot, React/Angular, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively to ensure team and organization standards are followed and the team is consistently focused on continuous improvements and sustained delivery
  • Employ simple design and pragmatic implementation techniques to drive business value
  • Pair program with team members to build high-quality solutions
  • Mentor junior team members to progress their technical and professional skills
  • Be open and actively seeking learning opportunities from more senior team members


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment
  • Strong experience working as an Application Developer
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience


Technologies

  • General - Comfortable in more than two programming languages with a strong understanding of fundamental web/internet technologies
  • Java - Strong experience working with Java and SpringBoot
  • Maven - Strong experience working with Maven as a build tool including a firm understanding of Maven standards and common practices
  • Cloud - Experience with both Private and Public clouds ranging from IaaS to PaaS solutions.
  • Should have solid Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • TDD - You must have practical experience with unit testing using tools like JUnit and Mockito
  • Pair Programming - You are comfortable pairing with other team members to solve problems
  • CSS / LESS / Sass - implementation skills with CSS, LESS, Sass are a Plus
  • JavaScript - implementation skills with ES6, Node.js, Webpack, Angular, and React are a Plus
  • Strong experience working with an SCM such as Git is a Plus
  • Database - implementation skills with ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA or MyBatis is a Plus
  • Proficient in SQL preferably across multiple databases. is a Plus
  • Experience with refactoring concepts and how they apply when building and maintaining high-quality solutions is a Plus

About the Team The Chief Technology Office oversees enabling components inclusive of the top quality engineering and architecture tools and practices, key program management and processes as well as the technology workforce strategy required to make us a leading technology company for our customers, clients and colleagues around the world.
