Construction impacts the lives of nearly everyone in the world, and yet it’s also one of the world’s least digitized industries, not to mention one of the most dangerous. That’s why we’re looking for experienced Frontend Software Engineers to join Procore’s Financials division in transforming a historically underserved industry. 

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you’ll join our highly collaborative Product, User Experience, and Engineering teams developing tools to innovate and transform how financial processes and data, from budgeting and forecasting to invoices and payments, are managed in the construction industry.

This position has the opportunity to work remotely from any U.S location or be based in our Carpinteria, CA, New York City, Austin, TX offices, or remotely. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Show attention to detail, have an optimistic attitude, express a willingness to learn, be challenged, and take pride in improving scalability and performance for users

• Participate in the full software development life cycle using primarily React and Typescript, integrating with APIs and backend services

• Write highly performant code that minimizes payload size and deferred scripts while consuming the lowest possible amount of browser resources

• Create, maintain, and contribute to a custom framework and component library built-in React including Micro-Frontend projects

• Write high-quality code with strong testing requirements (Jest, react-testing-library, Enzyme, Cypress)

• Test code developed by fellow teammates by conducting code reviews and testing features to meet acceptance criteria

What we're looking for:

• 2+ YOE in OOD, creating well structured readable code, and writing automated tests

• 2+ years experience with JavaScript. Additional preference with modern libraries and frameworks (React preferred).

• Experience with web tooling like Webpack, Jest, NPM, Typescript, etc.

• Understand the tradeoffs between technical, analytical, and product goals and are adept at formulating solutions that satisfy all of these needs

• Experience working with asynchronous requests in web applications

• Experience working with and developing RESTful APIs

• Experience with modern web development, including development, testing, staging, deploying, and monitoring

• Ability to consistently evaluate current technical approaches to continue to be industry best-of-class

• Experience in service development (Ruby, Python, or Java) is a plus
