The Red Hat Hybrid Application Console team is looking for a Senior Front End Developer to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will provide front-end development to support the user experience vision of our interaction designers. The Hybrid Application Console is at the forefront of technology in the Kubernetes space, helping our users build applications more easily and deploy into hybrid cloud environments. You'll need to be creative and motivated, proficient in building web applications, and able to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment. The primary area of expertise for this role is for JavaScript and its associated frameworks, however ideally you should also be proficient with building interfaces using HTML and CSS.
What you will do

• Consider an end-to-end user experience that spans product onboarding, usage, and support
• Work with UX designers and researchers to bring UI designs from concept to implementation through rapid prototyping and evaluation of design ideas
• Work with the development teams to gather information about system APIs and help shape the data that is available for UI consumption
• Implement UIs with clean, responsive, and accessible HTML or CSS and Javascript as needed to support the design vision
• Implement subtle interactions and affordances to ensure a clean and clear experience for users
• Work closely with designers during brainstorming, design reviews, and iteration of UI improvements
• Proactively participate in PatternFly, our community-built design system, as a user and contributor
• Make time for fellow engineers to provide feedback and mentorship

What you will bring

• Collaborative approach to front-end software development; ability to create UI designs using JavaScript and HTML or CSS
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline
• Experience building web applications using HTML or CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with development tools like Git, Webpack, and gulp.js
• Experience with agile development and open sourlike Vagrant or Docker
• Great communication and collaboration skills, with a solid attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new technologies, languages, and systems
