Job Description
PR Volt is a leading player in the public relations industry, renowned for our innovative email drip campaign software. We are looking for a Fractional Head of Engineering to join our team on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per month). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven track record of leading teams, and a passion for developing high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
-Work closely with our leadership team to define and implement our technology strategy and product roadmap.
-Lead, mentor, and expand our engineering team.
-Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture.
-Set and manage budgets, while seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
-Collaborate with the product management team to ensure our software aligns with business needs.
-Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure we remain competitive.
Requirements:
-A minimum of 8 years of software development experience.
-A minimum of 2 years of devops experience.
-At least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams.
-Strong knowledge of our tech stack, which includes Python, Django, React, AWS serverless, RDS Postgres, and Elasticsearch or similar.
-Demonstrated experience in software architecture and roadmapping.
-Proven ability to manage budgets effectively.
-Strong leadership and organizational skills.
-Ability to work remotely and manage a remote team.
-Fluency in English
-Availability to overlap working hours with EST timezone
