Role Summary

As 5G mMIMO Radio FPGA Design Engineer within Radio Development Unit at Manveir, you will be responsible for development of high-end OpenRAN based radio equipment and its integration with Radio Access Network (RAN). This position will be based in Richardson, Texas

Key Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

• Design, implementation and performance optimization of massive MIMO beamforming and Low PHY functionality on high-end FPGAs for 5G mMIMO radio
• Architecture, design, optimization and testing of signal processing algorithms pertaining to the Low PHY and Beamforming functionalities
• Requirements gathering and working within the team to specify the IP block requirments
• Development of unit-test framework to validate your IP Blocks
• Work within the team in validation and integration of the ORAN, Low PHY and BF within overall system
• Identify opportunities for innovation and market disruption in the area of Low PHY and Beamforming

Job Requirements

• Experience with FPGA and/or ASIC development in a product development environment
• Experience in wireless communication industry in design and/or systems engineering roles
• Experience with space-time-frequency adaptive signal processing in a multi-antenna base-station infrastructure systems is a plus
• Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques such as filter designs, time-frequency transforms, and data converters is a plus
• Proven track record from 4G LTE or 5G NR radio product development is preferred
• In depth understanding on ORAN interface is a plus
• Curious minded person striving for continuous learning and innovation
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• MS Degree in EE or equivalent preferred
