As part of our Manufacturing team, you'll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from us. Within our plants around the world, we're constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. That means we're continually seeking diligent, determined performers who think creatively to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our vehicles.

What you'll be able to do:

  • Independently troubleshoot machinery, robots, automation, and controls issues and overall down time
  • Use FIS plant monitoring software to review cycle times of equipment, review and follow up project installations.
  • Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements
  • Update program backups for machinery and automation
  • Program new installations of automation, machinery, material handling, and robots
  • Review risk assessments as part of a team evaluating equipment safety.
  • Utilize RSLogix 5 and 5000and program in Allen Bradley
  • Employ 8D, FMEA, and DMAIC methodologies
  • Work with Fanuc and Kawasaki robots
  • Read and modify electrical prints and schematics and use AutoCAD
  • Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
  • Coordinate automation campaigns
  • Work any shift in a rotating shift environment that may include weekends and overtime



The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering
  • 10 or more years of experience in automation/controls in a manufacturing environment



Our Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot all equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement in quality and delivery
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including 8Ds, FMEAs, and DMAICs, PPAP, and DOEs experience
  • Fanuc robot experience
  • Kawasaki programming and RSLogix experience
  • Solid understanding of PLCs
  • Validated ability to read prints, use AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics
  • Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and tooling techniques, in addition to networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote IO
  • 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
  • Familiarity with Lean Tools - 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping experience
  • Understanding of Visual Factory Management
