We are seeking an Engineering Manager & Scrum Master to join our Software Development team. Candidate should be a highly-motivated individual who thrives on the challenges of working in new environments with the latest technologies. Successful candidates should have strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise & direct the work of a team of software engineering professionals
  • Ensure team has appropriate training & development needs fulfilled
  • Assign work to software engineering personnel and evaluate performance
  • Manage continuing support for client-facing products
  • Acts as Scrum Master for one or more Scrum teams
  • Establish team level cadence and drive team level ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, team retrospectives, backlog refinement, etc.)
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to encourage adoption of good Agile practices
  • Encourage and facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration
  • Find and work to remove development and project roadblocks. Advance impediments appropriately as needed.
  • Facilitate management of the Scrum team's dependencies between the team and third parties, release managers, or other Scrum teams
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Work cross functionally to align strategy, methodology, and execution
  • Monitor and track the progress of agreed schedules and action items.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies (i.e. Certification in PPI Business System, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Business Transformation, Process Re-engineering, or another proven improvement methodology preferred.)


Qualifications

Required

  • BS / BA degree or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 4+ Years of Professional Related Experience Preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate a team to optimal performance.
  • Experience with Enterprise/Scaled Agile methodologies
  • Experience leading Agile / Scrum adoption at the team level
  • Experience with Agile management tools such as Atlassian Jira


Preferred

  • Project Management and/or Agile/Scrum Industry Certification(s)
  • Project management in software or IT delivery
  • Previous software development experience
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
  • Understanding the value of delivering on release commitments made by a development team
  • Participation in industry Agile communities
  • Experience building and managing relationships across a large enterprise
  • Problem solving, decision making, negotiation and influencing capacity
