Interior Thermal Cabin Comfort: Quality Engineer
Job Description:
Responsible for ensuring that design, integration and execution are with the highest quality. Also responsible for monitoring progress to meet quality goals through common global process assessments, facilitating rapid containment of issues, installation of countermeasures and Leadership concerns, if required, to ensure Quality targets are on track. A considerable amount of creativity and initiative is necessary, as well as a high level of independent discernment.
Key Job Elements:
- Partner with Engineering Team, Supplier Quality, Supplier and Plant to ensure appropriate corrective action is in place to correct field issues - CTF, Warranty, Compass, JDP, etc
- Ensure Quality Processes are executed within the SMT - Lessons Learned, DFMEA, PFMEA, etc...
- Participate in CPIT meetings and drive Warranty and Customer Survey Improvement Initiatives
- Support early program development with focus on Quality and Quality Chain
- Skilled and proficient with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Rely mostly on extensive personal experience and discernment to plan and accomplish goals.
- You will perform multiple tasks. Lead and likely direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Required Skills / Experience
- Bachelors Degree with STEM focus required
- 2+ years of post graduation engineering experience required.
- Ability to travel as needed (negligible; 5% max)
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Previous Interior / Automotive experience strongly preferred
- 5+ years of post graduation engineering experience strongly preferred
