As Director of Cryptographic Engineering you will be responsible for staffing up and managing a technology team that will work with a high degree of co-operation and synergy with multiple US based engineering and operations teams in the area of encryption and data protection. This full-time position reports to the Vice President of Data Encryption, and encompasses the below key duties:

• Management and development of the members of the crypto engineering team
• Ability to provide hands-on guidance for design, solutions, testing and support
• Close partnership with peers in the Data Encryption organization to provide strategic direction, roadmaps, design and architecture for cryptographic systems
• Proactively anticipates customer needs based on deep partnerships and relationships
• Transformational approach to evaluation of existing crypto capabilities
• Responsibility for leading multiple parallel work streams and on-time delivery of high quality crypto solutions
• Extend business product innovation through the adoption and implementation of technology

• Proven ability to build a high-performing engineering team, attract and retain talent necessary to create and maintain robust software solutions and directly manage engineers and collaborate in a matrixed fashion with other technology teams
• A strong understanding of cryptography and key management, PKI, X.509, certificate management, hardware-based security technologies (SGX, FPGA, GPU's)
• 8-10 years exposure to Java/J2EE or .Net mid-range computing stacks
• Performance analysis, profiling and benchmarking: Familiarity with tools like JMeter, Perfmon, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, benchmarking of APIs and components, Spec Benchmarks
• Developer consulting and support for both on shore and offshore application engineering teams
• A strong understanding of availability and performance of webservices and APIs based on REST/JSON/XML
• Strong familiarity with release management and versioning of software, and technical documentation: using Jenkins and similar frameworks for continuous integration and deployment, git or svn for code management, Confluence and wikis for documentation
• A background of agile engineering and using tools like Rally, JIRA
• Strong familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Exposure to Cloud based environments, microservices and multi-tenant services, technical familiarity with one or more major public Cloud (Google, AWS, Azure, Salesforce) including deployment, data porting and protection and container based technologies Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
• Data protection and security on mobile devices (e.g. rooting, whiteboxing on Android, iPhone)
