Job Summary

AECOM is hiring a Digital Computational Lead for our innovative and growing Digital Solutions Department. We are currently seeking a Digital Computational Lead to join our team. As the Digital Computational Lead, you will be responsible for leading project teams through the application of computational technologies to optimize design processes and expand the delivery capabilities of both design and engineering teams. This position may be remote of based in any of AECOM's U.S. offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development, testing and implementation of design tools and services
  • Work with AECOM's digital leaders to identify project opportunities for implementing new workflows
  • Lead development and implementation interoperability workflows between various design applications/platforms
  • Act as a support resource for core design technologies
  • Devotes time to research new and upcoming technologies
  • Can be a resource and team member in all phases of the project
  • Maintains current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques
  • Utilizes specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis and/or optimization for architectural and engineering designs
  • Ability to self-manage and deliver assigned tasks and projects
  • Ability to lead group initiatives and delegate tasks in an efficient manner
  • Create and review Design Technology learning materials
  • Oversee training and technical support to design staff on Building Information Modeling systems workflow integration
  • When and where applicable, coordinate support between external vendors and internal staff

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience in BIM/3D Modeling, with a focus on Autodesk Software Suite & Services
  • Experience in scripting, Dynamo and Revit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Experience with software APIs and Visual Studio
  • Advanced Experience with Autodesk Revit API & Dynamo, as well as Grasshopper for Rhino
  • Experience with coding languages: C#, Python and / or Typescript
  • Advanced knowledge in building information modeling programs and applicable techniques
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with a variety of BIM software including but not limited to Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 Design Suite and Autodesk forge
  • Experience with a variety of design software including but not limited to Rhino, Unity, and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge and experience in the disciplines within the AEC industry
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
