Conference Operations Engineer
Job Description
The Conference Operations Engineer will lead all aspects of day to day operations support of our conference room technologies. The position is accountable for leading A/V implementation projects which includes coordination with vendor resources and business groups. Other responsibilities will be leading ServiceNow support tickets, crafting KB articles and assisting in new technology discovery. This position will be based in our Pittsburgh, PA site and will work with all business groups & divisions along with our web conferencing & A/V vendors to provide outstanding Conference Technology support for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, Develop & implement Audio Visual/Conference Room technology strategies for near and long-term innovation.
Resolve technical (hardware, software, communications) malfunctions and have the capability to implement solutions including temporary workarounds and hardware/software upgrades.
Build knowledge base/instructional documentation for all Unified Communication Technologies
Discover new Conference related technologies and solutions.
Collaborate with operations and support teams to provide direction/support, improve processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance the overall user experience.
Engage with executives, managers, technology engineers and diverse groups.
Knowledge of A/V Technologies and solution capabilities to put together the best option (not just a workable option)
Preferred background:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience required.
5+ years of professional related working experience preferred.
Experienced in A/V Design and implementation project management.
Knowledge of one of more of the following enterprise video & Unified Communication platforms (Microsoft Stream, Microsoft Teams, Cisco, Webex, Zoom).
Must be a self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team.
Strong time management, prioritization and analysis skills.
Knowledge of video-conference hardware/software products and services.
Knowledge of other telephony systems including Avaya, Cisco and Microsoft Teams Telephony.
Ability to work with within multiple computer environments, platforms and technologies related to web/video conferencing and remote access systems.
