How you'll make a difference:
Allego is looking for a talented and motivated Cloud Developer (back end) to join our Software team. In our collaborative and flexible work environment, you'll have the opportunity to rapidly build your technical skills in a new, exciting, and expanding product space. You'll work closely with a multi- disciplined team to build a product that transforms the way ideas are shared and learning happens.
You will be integral to Allego's success through:
  • Collaborating with the product management team to weigh options to satisfy requirements, providing feedback on requirement feasibility and UI/UX designs
  • Designing, building, and delivering features in multiple areas of the product
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Continually improving our technical stack and processes
  • Maintaining existing tools and infrastructure as necessary

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 2+ years in developing complex distributed systems required
  • Strong working experience with Java & J2EE stack including Struts
  • Experience with server-side Java, JSP and MySQL
  • Ability to independently diagnose and solve code problems using sites like MDN and Stack Overflow
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, Agile development environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, or a combination of education and equivalent experience in a related field

Preferred :
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices for a SaaS platform
  • Understanding of secure coding practices
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience in MySQL, Jira, and Git
