Citrix Engineer - Remote
Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities
- Citrix expert has good knowledge of the design and implementation of the latest virtualization technologies.
- Perform capacity assessment and forecasting. Plan, design and recommend design changes to the technical lead were necessary to keep our platform cutting edge.
- Develop and implement business continuity plan/disaster recovery testing.
- Proven track record of taking initiative and delivering solution-oriented results.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate with the client as well as within teams required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Information Technology/Computer Science or commensurate experience
- At least 10 years relevant IT work experience
Certifications Desired: CCEE or CCP-V / CCE-V and ITIL certified
Technical Skills
- Design and implementation level expertise in the latest Citrix and application virtualization technologies
- Hands-on experience Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of deploying and troubleshooting an enterprise virtualization infrastructure.
- Ability in design and architecture of a Citrix virtualization environment
- Knowledge and practical work experience in Active Directory, Network, DNS, and Storage
- Experience in Windows Server OS and Remote Desktop Services (RDS), VDA
- Experience in Windows desktop OS and VDA services
- Practical experience with profile management tools (Ivanti, CPM, FSLogix, ELM)
- Deep understanding and experience with implementing security policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure secure system access and control, like CDC and GPOs.
- Ability to serve as the expert in implementations and migrations of the latest Citrix and application virtualization technologies; recommending solutions to support and enhance our existing systems
Desirable Technical Skills
- Design and implementation of the latest virtualization technologies
- Citrix ADC, ADM, XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix Provisioning Services, App Layering, Citrix Storefront, SQL Server, VMWare, AD, Xen Server, NetScaler, GSLB, VDI, AppSense, and User Personalization
Non-Technical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a diverse group of support staff - ability to communicate clear deliverables, probe for information and ensure the team is focusing on key actions.
- Working well in high-pressure situations and ability to stay focused and drive results in a challenging environment
- Propose best practices and standards in new technologies to the customer
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Expected Work Schedule: Americas Time (Central preference)
