Job Description DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop large scale applications. Build the Big Data Lake for the business to ingest data from multiple systems and provide efficient data using reporting systems. Develop ETL and BI legacy applications. Develop tables and views, stored procedures, and agent jobs, leveraging relational databases. Work with Big Data Agile Team through design, development, testing, implementation, and support. Maintain production applications and implement any enhancements arising due to changing business requirements. Create complete frameworks for production systems that consists of graphs, custom scripts, and third-party programs and make the systems run as expected and recoverably.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Computer Application, Computer Science, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst, ETL Developer, Senior Administrator, Software Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires Big Data technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, Python, Java, Scala, Hbase, and Impala; ETL tools including Pentaho, ETL, SSIS, Talend, and Informatica; Qilksense; Metadata-based ETL processing to load and transform data; Full development lifecycle in data warehouse environment; SQL Server and Oracle database environments leveraging databases, tables and views; stored procedures; agent jobs; Secure programming to address risk and control issues; DevOps for automated builds, deployments, and testing; Building cloud data pipelines using AWS Cloud components; Redshift; ElasticSearch; AWS Glue; using programming languages Java, Scala, Python and Shell-Scripting on the technology frameworks Hadoop, Hbase; Developed ETL and BI legacy applications using tools like Abinitio, SSIS, Tablue, Business Objects; Dimensional modeling such as Star Schema and Snowflake Schema; Usage of ETL methodologies for supporting data extraction, transformations and loading processing using Ab Initio; Agile methodolgies; Waterfall methodologies; Developing various UNIX shell scripts; Performance tuning; Data Extraction; Data Migration; Data Integration; Data Testing; Data Mapping; Express; It Ver 3.2.4; Conduct; BRE (Business Rule Environment); ACE (Application Configuration Environment); and, DQE (Data Quality Environment) products.
