The Opportunity

Qurate Retail Group is seeking a technology professional working to deploy and integrate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) based containers into the existing HSN Digital infrastructure including migration of QA and Production environments to Azure from the current self-hosted configuration.

Your Impact

• Configure and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters with deep, demonstrable knowledge of kubectl and kops
• Maintain this AKS environment in a hybrid configuration with other IaaS based systems supporting HSN Digital's web site within a multi-POP environment
• Understand CI/CD pipelines for deploying multiple large-scale AKS based environment
• Analyze the technology options/feasibility and define the build, delivery, and deployment pipeline for applications
• Design and implement tools, plan for future updates, help maintain and update our team infrastructure
• Configure AKS logging, monitoring, alerting systems
• Implement security controls to ensure code complies with security and compliance frameworks
• Work closely with Platform Engineers, QA, Release Management, Project Managers throughout the software lifecycle
• Provide mentoring and support knowledge transfer to Digital Platform Engineering team

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or a combination of education and exper
• 5+ years of related experience
• Experience maintaining large clusters using configuration tools such as: Python, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience in architecture, configuration, delivery and operational services in at least one Kubernetes-based environment (eg AKS, EKS, GKE, PKS, Openshift, Rancher)
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring (eg Dynatrace, Icinga, ELK)
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (eg Ansible, Terraform)
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies with experience in consultative solutioning and selling; PaaS / IaaS, datacenter, and/or cloud migrations, Cloud Landing Zones
• Cloud governance following the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
• Knowledge of operations disciplines including change leadership, adoption, process improvement, customer relationship management, and the digital operating model
• Understanding of financial, operational, and strategic business
• Experience with at least one of the following cloud infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code technologies such as:
  
  • ARM templates
  • Helm Charts
  • PowerShell
  • Azure DevOps/DevOps Server
  • Terraform and/or Ansible
  • ExpressRoute, MPLS, SDWAN, or others
  • Firewall solutions, Azure Firewall, Palo Alto, Cisco, or others
  • Azure Key Vault, or Hashicorp Vault
