Duties:

Act as a major contributor to architecture design and development of scalable resilient hybrid cloud-based solutions supporting critical financial risk management activities working with business analysts, team leads and other developers. Mentor and collaborate with developers, architects and product owners to drive the strategy of transforming the enterprise into a data-driven organization. Lead through innovative strategic thinking in building data solutions. Design and develop streaming applications for business requirements in agreed architecture framework and Agile environment, ensuring design of highly performing, scalable, secure, reliable and cost optimized solutions. Develop applications using AWS cloud services, RESTful services in Spring Boot, Kafka and deploy the applications in Web Application Server. Develop and test Java EE based solutions using Test-Driven development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approaches under Agile methodology. Thoroughly analyze requirements, and develop, test, and document software quality to ensure proper implementation. Follow agreed upon Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet both explicit and implicit quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are upheld, and external facing reporting is properly represented. Perform thorough code-reviews based on high engineering standards. Write unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm and CI/CD pipelines. Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements. Assist Production Support by providing advice on system functionality and fixes as required. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT or related and five (5) years of software development experience.

Special Skills Required:

Must have work experience with each of the following: 1) Developing applications using AWS cloud services, RESTful services in Spring Boot, Kafka and deploying in Web Application Server; 2) Developing and testing Java EE based solutions using Test-Driven development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approaches under Agile methodology; and 3) Using DevOps frameworks such as Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.

Salary

$153,400 - $174,400
