As a Senior/Principal engineer in the TD Advanced Modeling group, you will work on complex process and structure modeling projects. You must have strong knowledge and proven background in multiscale simulations and software/app development. You will be expected to work with modeling team members, customers, and external vendors. You will contribute to the development of modeling solutions and their deployment across Micron sites.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and deploy advanced modeling solutions
  • Implementation of advanced numerical methods, meshing algorithms, structure conversions, large-scale visualization, multi-scale coupling schemes, and stand-alone applications
  • Lead, manage, motivate, and mentor new engineers
  • Maintain project documentation and clearly communicate technical information across all stakeholders
  • Set up periodic project reviews and demos for internal customers and reviews


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing physical/engineering modeling software
  • 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience
  • Background in semiconductor processes and integration is preferred
  • Proactive approach to problem/project management, good problem-solving skills, and track record for innovation
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and work through cross-disciplinary and cross-organizational logistical issues
  • Proven ability to solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success/failure
  • Strong problem-solving skills using physical modeling or ML/DL/AI techniques
  • Experience with implementation of numerical methods
  • Background in modeling methods in physics, chemistry, and engineering
  • Proficiency in applying statistical methods, machine learning, and AI techniques


Education:
A Bachelors, M.S., or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
